Molly Metz

Molly Metz is an undergraduate student in the Interdisciplinary Science Program at Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts at the New School in New York. Molly has been working in the New School science labs for over a year and has taken an interest into exploring the microbiome of the built environment, sustainability in scientific research as well as bridging social and scientific research to the public through science communication.

Over the summer of 2019, Molly worked on two research projects. One project focuses on antimicrobial paint and it’s ability to kill microbes and the other is about different hand drying techniques and the contamination of clean hands. In addition to those research projects, Molly created a logo and revamped the Smyth Lab website.
