Alyssa Joines
Originally from Philadelphia, Alyssa is an NYC based new media designer and scientist. She is entering her fifth year of study at The New School as a dual degree BA/BFA student, pursuing a BFA in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design and a BA in Interdisciplinary Science from Eugene Lang College. In these programs, she has gained experience with topics such as microbiology, chemistry, physical computing, creative coding, and much more. She is currently working in the field of science communications/data visualization which utilizes her skills from both majors. Her other work involves algorithmically directed visuals and motion graphics, inspired by the emergent properties of mathematics and biology.
